Coronavirus Update
Governor Evers' Mandate
Currently, healthcare facilities including chiropractic offices are exempt from the following 10-person mandate:
"Large events and mass gatherings can contribute to the spread of COVID-19 by individuals who are infected with COVID-19 attending these events and spreading the virus to other participants. Therefore, DHS, under the authority of Wis. Stat § 252.02(3) and at the direction of Governor Tony Evers, has ordered a statewide moratorium on mass gatherings of 10 or more people to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The order is effective on Tuesday, March 17 at 5:00 pm.
A "mass gathering" is any planned or spontaneous, public or private convening that brings together or is likely to bring together 10 or more people in a single room or single confined space at the same time.
All gatherings that bring together or are likely to bring together less than 10 people in a single room or confined or enclosed space at the same time must:
· Preserve social distancing of six feet between people; and
· Follow all other public health recommendations issued by DHS and CDC."
The order exempts the following: Health Care.
· All health care facilities, including hospitals, medical facilities, home health agencies, personal care agencies, hospices, adult family homes, and pharmacies.
